Nom-Nom, Namaste

Got brunch with the roomie today at Matchbox. Which…I will say, was pretty disappointing and kind of shockingly pricy for what we got. I got the brunch pizza, which came with sausage so they happily subbed that out for portabello. That was really delicious. But Pat got the crabcake benedict, and when they brought it out at first, he broke into the yolk with his fork and it just, was fully cooked through. Like a hard-boiled egg. It was bizarre. So I immediately told the server (because Pat NEVER would) and a very confused girl who was not our regular server came along 5-10 minutes later with a properly-prepared dish (which I always think they should comp you for, but I guess that’s asking too much?) Also, my bloody mary was pretty boozy but not  tasty at all, and certainly not worth $8.

Won’t be planning another trip there soon. Too many better options in this city. And what do you know, the Bitches gave Matcbox a C+. I should know better than to think the Bitches would ever steer me wrong :)
