*sneers*
If I wasn’t already in a bad mood today, the comment, “Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed,” certainly didn’t help. PSA: Under no circumstances should you ever say those words.

How to Do What You Love
Most people would say, I’d take that problem. Give me a million dollars and I’ll figure out what to do. But it’s harder than it looks. Constraints give your life shape. Remove them and most people have no idea what to do: look at what happens to those who win lotteries or inherit money. Much as everyone thinks they want financial security, the happiest people are not those...

And while I'm being negative.
Something that annoys the shit out of me: When people think their birthday is so god damn important, it deserves an entire week of celebration. I am seeing this trend all the time all of a sudden. Knock it off, people! It’s the anniversary of the day you were born. Not that big of a deal, and also, you aren’t that special. Even “Jesus” only gets one day.

Pro-tip: Respect the risotto. Never use a wine in your cooking that you wouldn’t drink by itself. Ravenswood 2010 Zinfandel in the house tonight (holler, $8 on sale at Whole Foods.) Pro-tip Bonus: It goes without saying, but always drink the wine while cooking. And never leave an unfinished bottle laying around.  Hat tip to Steph for the goat cheese-red wine risotto recipe.

For no apparent reason, my upper back has just entered “you’re an old man” mode and almost every position is quite uncomfortable or very painful. like within the last 5 hours. for no reason. I guess it’s a good thing I have vicodin. If this isn’t gone in the morning, I’m going to the doctor. merry superbowl.

on workouts.
It’s a really good thing you can feel a good workout the next day, being that you can’t see the results that quickly. something has to keep you going back.
