On poetry
This morning I somehow stumbled upon my old Deviantart, which I haven’t updated in almost three years. Well, I know how I ended up there—it’s because I’m thinking about how I need to make myself a quasi-professional looking photography website in order to justify this extravagant photo equipment expense. And I was looking through my current online collection, which is...

Boring work question
Prezi’s. Love ‘em? Hate ‘em? Do you use them? Like for work or school or anything?

F.A.A. Approves iPads in Cockpits, But Not for... →
sylviac: But, passengers are still required to shut down anything with the slightest electronic pulse from the moment a plane leaves the gate until it reaches an altitude of 10,000 feet. (Emphasis added.) The F.A.A. in-flight rules about electronics are not apparently supported by science and I’m unironically glad that the NYT is on it. And this is why train travel is the royal way. -sent...

It’s cool that my company offers a Flexible Spending Account, because I can save pre-taxly..like, 30%…on my upcoming dental expenses. But it’s kind of scary knowing that my paychecks for 2012 are now going to drop by $125. In other news…at least my paycheck was already less than my monthly rent anyway so that’s a plus.

Christmas in D.C.
It appears that for the first time in my life, I will not be with my family-of-four this Christmas. I suppose this is part of growing up. But it will definitely feel a bit weird and I anticipate sadness upon seeing all the Facebook statuses and tweets from people home with their families. (See: this post.) But, I will be with my sister, and now, I need help from you all for a fun idea of a great...

But it's great on paper.
Too often lately I have been wondering if I’m living my life wrong. This week I re-read this thing I wrote before my college graduation. It didn’t really help.
